Discoveries-America Arkansas - DVD
SKU:
BWDVDDAAR
Eureka Springs takes great pride in her treasures including Victorian houses, narrow winding streets, the haunted Crescent Hotel and nearby Thorn Crown Chapel. Mountain View is the folk music capital of the world where musicians come and gather outside the courthouse to play music. The Ozark Folk Center has an interpretive facility that educates the public on traditional Ozark arts and crafts. At Serenity Farm Breads, everything is made from healthy sourdough, including French bread, pastry croissants and focaccias. The trout planting program in Arkansas stocks up local rivers with a ton of trout, some of which grow up to be world-record catches. Wildflower farmers grow native plants in order to harvest and market the seeds. Terra Studios is a real roadside attraction featuring acres of sculpture and the original "Bluebird of Happiness." The Buffalo River is a free flowing river that attracts thousands of paddlers and campers. The William J Clinton Presidential Library includes an archival research facility and museum housed in an environmentally friendly building. Riddle's Elephant Sanctuary is a 330-acre home for elephants of all species, genders and dispositions. The Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie is an interpretive facility that preserves the history of the prairie region with a popular exhibit on duck hunting and duck calls. A local business is a world leader in the manufacture of duck calls. The Hampton Pigskin Cook-off features a parade, carnival midway, hat contest, BBQ cook-off and rodeo. Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only diamond-producing site in the world open to the public.
